Day 1 — Wednesday

Welcome to Africa!

Arrival King Shaka International, Durban or Pietermaritzburg Airport, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

14:00 : Transfer to Lincoln Cottages for check-in and lunch.

15:30 : Flight Briefing Pietermaritzburg Aero Club in preparation for flying training. Meet Telani Lithgow, Chief Flying Instructor (C.F.I.) Pietermaritzburg Aero Club who will guide and prepare you with essential knowledge needed for intensive flying training experience for the next day. Ask as many questions as possible concerning your experience aloft ... not for the faint of heart!

18:00 : 'Getting to know you' Welcome Barbeque Dinner (braai).
- Outline Adventures in store!
- Hand out of Lincoln Aviator goodie bag needed for adventures.

Day 2 — Thursday

Lets Fly ... a ticket for take off!

07:00 : Breakfast Lincoln Cottages.
08:15 – 13:00 : Learn to fly at PMB Aero Club. Fly Cessna –172, one of the world’s most versatile training aircraft.
Break away – GO! GO! GO! Go-Kart racing Liberty Midlands Mall.
13:30 : Lunch at Lincoln Cottages.
Afternoon at leisure.
18:00 : Dinner Lincoln Cottages

Day 3 — Friday

Flying Lite in a Microlight!

07:15 : Breakfast Lincoln Cottages.

08:15 : Depart for Umkomaas Micro Light Flying School.

09:45 : Arrive at World of Wings Flying Club. Meet Noel McDonogh, flight training instructor on versatile Microlight aircraft. Experience exhilarating wave-top flying over beaches with spectacular views of Umkomaas River valley. Visit and walk along Clanstal Beach, admire pristine seas, green coastal belt with optional visit to Scottburgh beach for quick swim in the Indian Ocean.
12:15 : Lunch at World of Wings.
13:45 : Arrive at Virginia Airport for an exhilarating Helicopter flight via scenic Umgeni River valley. Destination: PheZulu Safari Park Cultural Village, situated in the heart of the Valley of a 1000 Hills.
14:30 : PheZulu Village, Bothas Hill, Valley of a 1000 Hills, KwaZulu-Natal. Experience traditional Zulu dancing. Enjoy a refreshing drink before boarding an open-air safari vehicle for a one-hour Game Drive. Marvel at prolific wild life:  Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe and many species of Antelope. Follow the world-famous Comrades Marathon route, including a stop at the Comrades Marathon Wall of Honour.
15:15 : Arrive Pietermaritzburg Aero Club for a debriefing session and to meet Chairman of the Club for sundowners.
18:45 : Dinner at Lincoln Cottages.

Day 4 — Saturday

Hot! Hot! Hot! Air Ballooning!

04:45 : Steaming early morning coffee and rusks in your bedroom, before departing for Balloon Adventure launch site.
05:45 : Arrive at Balloon launch site. Warwick Cook, World Champion Balloonist, is your Tour Guide and Instructor. Balloon launch is half an hour after sunrise. Float effortlessly above the African Bush. Spend an hour aloft away from cares and bonds of the earth.
08:15 : Return to Balloon launch site for a sumptuous, delectable Champagne breakfast.
10:00 : Arrive at Howick Waterfall to admire the spectacular cascading water from the Umgeni River as it plummets 111m down into the pool far below. In Zulu, Howick Falls are named KwaNogqaza, 'Place of the Tall One'. Walk to the nearby traditional Zulu craft stalls and purchase that special curio for folks back home!
10:45 : Travel to Piggly-Wiggly, outdoor activity centre and restaurant on the scenic Midlands Meander. Visit Florentines Belgian Chocolate Shop - famous handmade chocolate emporium.
12:00 : Arrive at Piggly Wiggly - introduction to Zipline with a test run appetizer. Highgate Estate Wine Tasting and Cellar Tour followed by lunch.
14:30 : Travel back to Lincoln Cottages. Afternoon at leisure.
18:00 : Dinner Lincoln Cottages.

Day 5 - Sunday

Smooth Gliding and Follow Famous Footsteps to victorious FREEDOM!

06:00 : Breakfast at Lincoln Cottages.
07:30 – 12:30 : Gliding at Howick Flying Club. Meet Tex Impey, your flying instructor who will 'show you the ropes' and train you on the techniques of flying a Glider while gliding effortlessly over Howick Waterfall and Midmar Dam. Visit the nearby Midmar Dam and Nature reserve.
13:00 : Afternoon – Picnic lunch at Midmar Dam recreational area.
13:45 : Explore : Discover : Experience. All aboard KwaZulu-Natal Freedom Route Tour Bus! as you follow the legendary footsteps of Gandhi and Mandela. Visit the Mandela Capture site, Pietermaritzburg’s famous Gandhi Statue, Old Prison and Railway Station. Stand at the spot where Gandhi was forcibly removed from the train.
18:00 : Dinner at Lincoln Cottages.

Day 6 - Monday

Zipline Swinging Canopy Experience and Ladies Pampering session!

An opportunity to experience 'Karkloof Canopy Tour' an amazing zipline experience with ten individual ziplines which are suspended high above the tree top canopy below you. For the ladies there is an opportunity for some pampering with a Pedi/Manicure.
08:00 : Breakfast and Pedi/Manicure for ladies at Chic Boutique.
09:30 : Travel to Karkloof falls. Admire spectacular natural wonder secluded well within the Africa bush.
11:00 : Travel to the launch site of the Karkloof Canopy Tour – an unforgettable adventure.
12:00 – 14:00 : Enjoy the Karkloof Canopy Tour and forest, an amazing experience to zipline over the forest, to relax briefly on a platform before taking off on the next ride, while admiring the large trees and ferns below you. Wonder at the amazing prolific bird life and perhaps spot the elusive Samango Monkeys which call this forest their home. Lunch at Karkloof after zip line experience.
14:15 : Travel back to Lincoln Cottages and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
17:00 : Farewell Braai around the Pool area – sumptuous dinner extravaganza, enjoy live music by Chris Jensen, saxophonist of musical note! Handing out of certificates and vote for best experience and special award for Celebratory of the tour!

Day 7 - Tuesday

Au Revoir

09:00 : Enjoy a tasty au revoir 'Till we meet again' breakfast. Time to say fond farewells from us at the Lincoln Aviator. Take a group photograph as we bid farewell to our new friends. Prepare for transport to airport.
